My friend was served her taco on a separate plate after we pointed out when I was served that my plate had two, not three, tacos. We bypassed the Happy Hour $5 Grub menu, ordering from the regular menu. My friend ordered the small chicken tortilla soup ($5), while I ordered the three Maui Maui taco plate with chips ($13). My friend and I decided to sit at the downstairs bar. We were there during Happy Hour, so both of us ordered a glass of the house red ($4). It was a decent wine and a decent pour, so a deal at $4.

Kupros, as one might expect, carries a wide variety of craft beers. I originally ordered the two-taco plate, but when my friend tried to order one Maui Maui taco the bartender explained they could only serve the chicken taco as a single. Increasing my order from two to three solved that problem.

Seating on both sides of the bar is a combination of booths and tables and chairs. Help yourself to a menu and a glass of water, find a place to sit, and place your order/pay at the bar. Your order will be delivered to you. On the second floor you will find a series of open rooms with a variety of seating. Also on the second floor is a second smaller bar towards the back.

Having ordered the small soup, my friend expected a cup of soup and she had to double-check with the bartender that the bowl she was served was indeed the “small”. I had a taste of the chicken tortilla soup, which was chili-like and had a definite kick. It was tasty, but a little too spicy hot for me. My friend, however, enjoyed it.
Small Plates
Friendly service. The Maui Maui tacos with chips (salsa, cotija cheese, sour cream, cilantro) were tasty, but also a bit on the spicy side. The tortillas themselves were a bit of a disappointment, however I would order the dish again.
